Tyler Pegg and Cody Cress of the CRESS Group recently represented the Girl Scouts North Carolina Coastal Pines Region 1 while finding their new regional office in Wilmington, NC. The Coastal Pines region 1 includes the Cape Fear region with centers in Raleigh, Fayetteville and Goldsboro.
“We wanted to have a presence in Wilmington,” said Jennifer Carter, membership executive for the council, “There’s a lot of membership in this area.”
The new location is off Shipyard Boulevard in Wilmington, NC. It is a 3,400 sq ft facility that has meeting rooms, offices, a store, and even a small kitchen.
“We felt like this was in a visible spot, a safe spot. It doesn’t hurt that the Boy Scouts are not far because a lot of families, if they have boys and girls, a lot of times are involved in both scouting organizations,” Carter said.
